As part of Ignite! Futures second outreach programme with the LGBTQ+ youth group Outburst, I developed a six-week writing workshop teaching group members how to put together and plan their own comic book. I also collaborated with students from the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies’ Graphic Industry class to produce the artwork for the comic book, working with them to bring Outburst's vision to life. The resulting comic book, Crooked Seams, is a horror coming-of-age story inspired by the goth subcultures of the 1980s, brimming with sinister secrets and unbridled terror. The comic was published in February of 2025.
